LAST PRE-CHRISTMAS TRAINING | Supporting Knox Infolink

We made a great contribution last year and after such an awesome Premiership Season on field this year, I know The Hawka Family are ready to dig deep to help those less fortunate in our local area, especially in these tough times.

So everyone is invited to come down to Tormore Reserve @ 6pm on Wednesday 13th December for a light and fun training session, followed by a BBQ.

Please also consider bringing along a donation of food or a gift to generously support Knox Infolink Inc in their ‘Share the Joy’ Knox Christmas Appeal for those who need an extra hand at this time of year. Here are some ideas for what you might donate:

PRESEASON TRAINING | MEN’S VETERANS

Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club is really excited to be kicking off another pre-season for Boronia Vets. We will have the newly appointed coach Mark “Owie” O’Neill taking the reins for our first session on Wednesday 22 November. (Venue to be confirmed).

Boronia Hawks are very pleased to announce that former senior player, Mark ‘Owie’ O’Neil has been appointed Veterans Coach for the 2024 season.

Owie has had a long association with the Vets, and has been Greg Joseph’s right hand man in previous seasons. We wish Owie the very best in his new role. He has big shoes to fill but Mark has a great footy pedigree.

2024 KEY DATES

The Eastern Football Netball League 2024 season is set to kick off on Saturday, April 6th, with the Divisions One to Four in the Senior Men’s as well as both Veterans competitions starting Round One. The Senior Women’s competition will begin on

Grand Final dates are also locked in. The Premier Division Senior Men’s Grand Final concludes the season on Saturday, 21st of September.

PREMIERSHIP CUPS ON TOUR | Stonewood Paving & Landscaping

Another one of own giving back to the club. Darran Hansby is a current Men’s Veterans player who also happens to run and own Stonewood Paving & Landscaping. A BRONZE sponsor who also has been a co-sponsor of our Stubby Holders for the past few years.

He was a hard man to catch but we finally cornered him down at Tormore between jobs to share with him our Premiership success and grab a photo.

Our four Premierships cups made a visit to our ‘second home’ and long-term PLATINUM sponsor in the Knox Club.

Our partnership with the Knox Club goes back many years and we are truly grateful for the support they give the club and more so what we can give back to them with our patronage. It was great to catch up with Brian and Janine to show them our new silverware and share our success with the Club.

Coaching Positions | Boronia

Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club is seeking applications for the following football department positions within the club for the 2024 season.

  • Development Squad (Reserves) Coach
  • Men’s Veterans Coach
  • Club Head Trainer

The successful candidates will become valued and integral members of the Club’s Coaching Group and Football Department and will help drive the development of our playing group for the upcoming 2024 season.

Detailed position descriptions and selection criteria are available for these positions and can be obtained by contacting the Club’s Director of Football – Wayne Judge – either by email – wayne.judge@education.vic.gov.au or telephone – 0400 951 867

Applications for both positions addressing the selection criteria should be forwarded to Wayne Judge and received no later than Friday 13th October 2023.
