Boronia Hawks are very pleased to announce that former senior player, Mark ‘Owie’ O’Neil has been appointed Veterans Coach for the 2024 season.
Owie has had a long association with the Vets, and has been Greg Joseph’s right hand man in previous seasons. We wish Owie the very best in his new role. He has big shoes to fill but Mark has a great footy pedigree.

The Eastern Football Netball League 2024 season is set to kick off on Saturday, April 6th, with the Divisions One to Four in the Senior Men’s as well as both Veterans competitions starting Round One. The Senior Women’s competition will begin on
Grand Final dates are also locked in. The Premier Division Senior Men’s Grand Final concludes the season on Saturday, 21st of September.
Another one of own giving back to the club. Darran Hansby is a current Men’s Veterans player who also happens to run and own Stonewood Paving & Landscaping. A BRONZE sponsor who also has been a co-sponsor of our Stubby Holders for the past few years.
He was a hard man to catch but we finally cornered him down at Tormore between jobs to share with him our Premiership success and grab a photo.

Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club is seeking applications for the following football department positions within the club for the 2024 season.
The successful candidates will become valued and integral members of the Club’s Coaching Group and Football Department and will help drive the development of our playing group for the upcoming 2024 season.
Detailed position descriptions and selection criteria are available for these positions and can be obtained by contacting the Club’s Director of Football – Wayne Judge – either by email – wayne.judge@education.vic.gov.au or telephone – 0400 951 867
Applications for both positions addressing the selection criteria should be forwarded to Wayne Judge and received no later than Friday 13th October 2023.
Following on from the last rounds of the home & away season, come along to this year’s Vote Count, this Saturday night 12 August at Tormore.

Boronia’s Masters were all smiles after a great win in the last round of their first season. Well done ladies, your hard work has paid off and it is now on to Finals.

At Tormore Reserve on Friday 28th of July, the Krenn Brothers, Greg and Colin laced up their boots and donned the Brown and Gold to take the field for the very last time.
The word legend gets bandied around quite a bit these days, but these guys definitely fit the mantle of Club Legends. With their dedicated service, they have undoubtedly made a significant impact on this proud football club, and their contributions will be remembered for many years to come.
It’s not uncommon for players who have been with a club for a long time to become ingrained in its culture and history, and the Krenn brothers are no exception. Their commitment and passion for the Club through playing, coaching, sponsorship and being on various Committee’s over 35 years have been inspiring to both their fellow teammates and the club’s many supporters on the hill.
As they step away from the playing field, it’s essential to acknowledge their invaluable contributions and express a great deal of gratitude for their dedication.
Football clubs are more than just teams; they are communities, and players like Hollywood and Stick play a vital role in shaping the culture and spirit at BHFNC.
While their playing days at Boronia may be coming to an end, their impact and influence will continue to resonate within the club. Their legacy will live on through the memories and experiences they shared with their teammates on and off the field and the positive influence they have had on everyone at the Hawka. We have and continue to be blessed by having them around.
As they move on to the next chapter of their lives, I’m sure all Boronia Hawks club people will always hold a special place in their hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing and playing with them.
