The Eastern Football Netball League 2024 season is set to kick off on Saturday, April 6th, with the Divisions One to Four in the Senior Men’s as well as both Veterans competitions starting Round One. The Senior Women’s competition will begin on
Grand Final dates are also locked in. The Premier Division Senior Men’s Grand Final concludes the season on Saturday, 21st of September.
Back after the Easter break, get ready for an action packed weekend.
Kicking off with Round 1 for our Women’s Master’s Team against Sth Belgrave at Sth Belgrave Reserve, an historic match for the club.
Friday night also sees our Men’s Vets take on North Ringwood in Round 2 at Quambee Reserve.
On Saturday the Senior and Development men are off to HE Parker to face off against Heathmont in Round 2 and our Senior and Development Women play their last practice matches at home against Knox and Nunawading respectively.

The first four rounds of the 2023 Eastern Football Netball League junior fixtures have been released.

The 2023 Senior Women’s competition is set to kick off on April 22nd. Boronia ‘s top team are in Division 1 and our Development Team will participate in grading games to determine their division.

The division will now consist of ten teams, South Belgrave have been promoted to Division One after their Grand Final win over Ringwood this year while Oakleigh District have been relegated to Division Three after going winless in 2022.
Replacing them is the Waverley Blues and Upper Ferntree Gully. The Waverley Blues were promoted after their thrilling two-point Grand Final win in Division Three, they’ll start their season campaign in 2023 against Templestowe at home where they’ll have the chance to unfurl the flag. For Upper Ferntree Gully, they’ll be looking to snap their current losing steak when they play Knox in the first round of the 2023 season.
A top five finals system will still be in place, beginning on August 19th with the Grand Final date set for September 10th.
The success of our Women’s Football Program continues following the announcement that Boronia Hawks will play in Premier Division in 2022.
The Eastern Football Netball League has released the divisional structure for the top tiers of Women’s Football yesterday, featuring the inclusion of new teams Mount Evelyn and Eastern Devils. Premier Division is split in to two sections, with cross-over rounds featuring teams between Premier A and Premier B.

Boronia coaches Scott Nicholas and Candyce Wright have welcomed the announcement as an exciting opportunity for our players and both are looking forward to the challenge.
Senior President, Greg Hannon said that “Our players now have the opportunity to play against the highest standard of players and teams in the Eastern Suburbs. This will be a huge challenge for our playing cohort but one that I’m sure their coaches and players are very much looking forward to. We wish our female players the very best in 2022 in their new competition”.

The 2022 EFNL Men’s Fixture for 2022 has just been released and we are very pleased to return to a traditional 18 game home and away season with 10 teams.
We welcome newcomers Oakleigh Districts to Tormore Reserve in Round 2 after travelling to Mulgrave for the season opener on 2nd April. We can look forward to two local derbies against The Basin. We renew acquaintances with the relegated Knox and the promoted East Burwood, while Ringwood remain in Division after declining promotion to Division 1 as Minor Premiers.
