Player Registrations for the 2024 Eastern Football Netball League season are opening soon!

The league is moving to a new registration and competition management platform, PlayHQ.

“PlayHQ is on a mission to reinvent community sport technology, replacing decades of unreliable legacy systems and spreadsheets with a seamless, mobile-first digital experience that connects communities across sporting codes”.

Clubs will advise players when registrations are open and will assist in informing those players on how to register.

Ahead of the 2024 season, download the Play.AFL app where you’ll be able to access all of the league’s fixtures, results and player stats.

“Play AFL is a free iOS and Android App for community football fans that houses fixtures, ladders, results, and statistics for every league on PlayHQ. Download the Play.AFL App now and start following your favourite local players & clubs anywhere, anytime”.


PREMIERSHIP CUPS ON TOUR | RINGWOOD TRAINING

Shayne who is the Centre Manager at Ringwood Training has been a long-time supporter of our club and it was great to catch up with him and Rosina Fotia, who is the school principal at Ringwood Secondary College, to personally thank them for all their support.

Ringwood Training (RT) is a dedicated campus at Ringwood Secondary College. They deliver Vocational Education and Training qualifications to post-school and school-based students in three industry areas – Automotive, Engineering Fabrication and Information Communication Technology (ICT).

If you have ever wondered about furthering your education in any of these areas please feel free to contact Shayne who would be more than happy to give you a tour of their facilities and answer any questions.

PREMIERSHIP CUPS ON TOUR | JOHN ALAN BETTA HOME LIVING

As the tour of the cups nears its end we finally got to catch up Brendan Lee who owns and manages John Alan Betta Home Living in the Knox Ozone district. Brendan has been supporting the club since 1980 and a loyal contributor of products that we use throughout the year in our raffles.

Another local business supporting the club got a visit today. Summit Workwear & Safety is owned and operated by Steve & Nikki Mancer who jumped onto the Hawka bandwagon a few years ago. Being passionate Hawthorn supporters it made sense that they support the local Hawks.

WELCOME TO THE HAWKA | TOM SONSIE

Tom comes to the club as a key forward having played for Scoresby between 2016-21 where he was the leading goal kicker in 2019 & 2021.He then moved to South Belgrave where he has played for the past few seasons.

2024 COACHING APPOINTMENT | PERIL

Boronia Hawks are delighted to announce that Stacey Peril has been reappointed as Masters Coach for the 2024 season.

Stacey was our inaugural coach in 2023 and lead the team through their first season as the player numbers grew along with the team development and enjoyment. Stacey has played with Boronia since 2018 and in 2023 she played her 50th game and also represented Vic Country in Masters Football. She has been actively involved with the Hawks as a junior mum, committee member, junior coach, senior player and now continues as Masters Coach.
