WEEKEND PREVIEW | April 1-2

Get ready for a huge weekend for the Hawka!

This weekend sees Round 1 kick off for our Senior Men and Development Men vs The Basin at home on Saturday, followed by Vets Men vs Croydon North MLOC on Sunday, also at Tormore.

With the start of the season still a few weeks away our Senior Women and Development Women play their first practice matches against Eastern Devils at Miller Park, followed by the inaugural practice match for our Women’s Masters team vs Mooroolbark!

The Junior Season also kicks off this weekend, so make sure you get around the club and support wherever you can.

Success at Seaford

Final Scores for today’s Senior Men’s practice matches at Seaford.

In the main game this afternoon Boronia 8.5 53 d Seaford 7.9 51 by 2 points. Some good signs with the younger brigade stepping up and Jess Bolton winding back the clock. It was a good result for the Hawks after being cleaned up by Seaford last year.

Boronia Hawks win Premier Division Netball

It’s a Premiership! Our top ranked netball team, Boronia Hawks, has won the Grand Final in EFL Premier Division scoring 48 goals to Fairpark Yellow 32.  The Hawks were in great form from the outset.  They established an early lead and then stayed on top, pressuring the opposition, to record a very convincing win over last year’s premiers.

The incredible Nikki Phillips was presented with the Blue Ribbon Medal for Best on Court by EFL CEO Phil Murton.
