Pease take a moment to read the letter of thanks to our Senior Secretary, Grant Bertram, and Auskick Co-ordinator, Samantha Dunkinson, who were closely involved in our Xmas drive for donated foodstuffs and gifts for the local community.

BHFNC sends its love and sincere condolences to former players David, Matthew and Dean on the passing of their mother, Ruth. We are all thinking of you during this difficult time.
We made a great contribution last year and after such an awesome Premiership Season on field this year, I know The Hawka Family are ready to dig deep to help those less fortunate in our local area, especially in these tough times.
So everyone is invited to come down to Tormore Reserve @ 6pm on Wednesday 13th December for a light and fun training session, followed by a BBQ.

McHAPPY DAY! Please support our community partner and loyal sponsor Boronia McDonald’s
McHappy Day 2023will take place on Saturday, 18th November, where McDonald’s will raise much needed funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities to provide support for families of seriously ill and injured children.
The BHFNC sends our heartfelt sympathy to Simone Cramond (nee Stubley) who lost her much-loved brother Phill this week, far too soon. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this incredibly challenging time Simone.
The BHFNC sends its sincere condolences to our senior committee member, Phil Vanderdrift on the passing of his much-loved mother Val. Val is now dementia free and at peace. Our club wishes Phil, his wife Pezz, and all his family much love and support during this difficult time.
This weekend we will celebrate NAIDOC week across all of our senior and junior games. This is a chance for us to recognise the culture and history of the beautiful land that we play our great sport on and to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples – in particular those of the Wurundjeri and Bunurong people of the Kulin nation, who are the traditional owners of the land where Tormore resides.
NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia in the first week of July each year and is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
A very big thank you to Indigenous club member Chloe for her Acknowledgement of Country before each of the games; and to Samantha Dunkinson for arranging and leading each ceremony.
Today we remember the life of Monique Lezsak, whose life was tragically cut short 2 weeks ago. Monique was the much loved cousin of Boronia Hawks player and coach Stacey Peril.
Monique was the mother of 10-year old twins, she enjoyed bodybuilding, wanted to become a Police officer and had a huge amount of life in front of her. Our Women’s Squad wore white arm bands during their most recent games in memory of Monique, in support of Stacey and as a way to raise awareness of domestic and family violence.
Please consider donating to White Ribbon in memory of Monique. This charity undertakes primary prevention of domestic and family violence in communities, schools and workplaces across the country: www.whiteribbon.org.au/Support-Us/Make-A-Donation/In-Memory
Our thoughts are with all of Monique’s family today, in particular her children and Stacey.
If you, or someone you know, requires support with family or domestic violence please contact 1800RESPECT (1800 737 732) 24-hours a day.
