COMMITTED FUNDING FOR NEW CLUBROOMS
ANNOUNCEMENT FROM MARY DOYLE MP
Tormore Reserve is receiving $5 million from the Albanese Labor Government for their brand new pavilion and facilities upgrades!
I was thrilled to join Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government @catherine_kingmp to announce the funding. This $5 million investment will ensure that @boroniahawksfnc,Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club – Junior and @boronia_cc have the facilities they deserve.
Along with the $1.2 million from the Victorian State Government, this combined $6.2 million project is fully funded and ready to be delivered by Knox City Council.
Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club and Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club – Junior are enormously proud of this generous support for our club. We believe it to be a vote of confidence in our ongoing commitment to maintain a strong and inclusive environment for our players, their families and all our members and local supporters. We are very grateful to @marydoylemp @jacksontaylormp, Catherine King MP and @knoxcouncil for their backing of our sporting, social and wellbeing programs.

We made a great contribution last year and after such an awesome Premiership Season on field this year, I know The Hawka Family are ready to dig deep to help those less fortunate in our local area, especially in these tough times.
So everyone is invited to come down to Tormore Reserve @ 6pm on Wednesday 13th December for a light and fun training session, followed by a BBQ.

SENIOR VICE-PRESIDENT | WOMEN’S PROGRAMS
Are you someone who wants to give back to community sports? Do you have a passion for women’s netball and football? s the BHFNC a club that excites you and you want to make it grow and make it even better?
If you answered YES to those questions, the following new committee role may be of interest to you for next season!
The Senior Vice President – Women’s Program will be a strong advocate for our female football program and our netball program.
The appointed candidate will work closely with the Senior President, Senior Vice President – Men’s Program, the Football and Netball Operations Managers, and the club’s Senior Secretary.

2023 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
All club members are invited to the 2023 AGM on Monday 30th of October at 7:30pm at the Knox Club.
The agenda will focus on a number of items including our Annual Report, voting on senior and junior committee members and board members and voting on proposed changes to the BHFNC Constitution.

The Annual Report will be provided on the evening.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOCIAL & COMMS CONTRIBUTORS
We are looking for some extra volunteers who would be able to help spread the load of looking after our social media and other communications like email.
Rather than the responsibility sitting with just one or two, we are looking for a few motivated people across the playing groups and supporter base who can commit to taking on specific tasks on a recurring basis each week to ensure we can communicate all the great things going on at our club in a sustainable way as the club continues to grow. Depending on the time you’d like to commit you could take on one of the tasks or maybe a few.
You may already have some skills in this area, be keen to learn more or are just looking for a way to throw your hat into the ring. Any training you would need on the systems we use would be provided and most items are now templated.
Some of the key tasks include:
- Women’s Football & Netball Team Announcements
- Men’s Football Team Announcements
- Game Day Score Updates & Saturday Scoreboard Summary
- Sharing relevant updates during the week e.g., Hawka Lotto, posts from junior page
- Sharing posts from other relevant pages e.g. EFNL, Premier Data, Media etc
- Sharing photos after games
- Promoting club & player sponsors, sharing relevant updates
- Promoting community partner offers
- Promoting club events & news
- Managing and distributing an email newsletter (something new)
- Replying to messages
- We’d also be keen to hear from anyone who would like to volunteer their photography, videography or graphic design skills in any way throughout the season or on a regular basis.

Masters Coach Announced
Boronia Hawks are pleased to announce that STACEY PERIL has been appointed as Women’s Master’s Coach for 2023.
Her inaugural season coaching in the Senior Club, Stacey is also coaching within the junior club and has for sometime, working hard each year to build the pathway for young girls at Boronia. Stacey will also play in the Masters and Development teams.
