VFLW DEBUT | ALI GOTTLIEBSEN

Boronia Hawks is incredibly proud to see that Ali debuts in Round 1 for @darebinvflw against Williamstown. ??

This is how Darebin Falcons announced Ali’s selection:

“An incredible story of persistence and a never give up attitude this one! The club is pleased to announce the signing of Ali Gottliebsen for Season 2024, with Ali also making her debut this weekend against Williamstown! Ali has had an excellent pre-season who has developed and grown with every session. A versatile defender who will always give her very best effort at every contest. We can’t wait to see Ali make her mark this weekend in her VFLW debut!”

Begs is obviously one of the best credentialed footballers to join the Hawks for many years. A very successful season with Eastern Ranges in 2016 saw Josh drafted by Essendon that year at #31 in the National Draft. He played 17 AFL games and 28 VFL games with Essendon before moving to Frankston for another 29 VFL games. Josh joined Boronia in 2023 and was a huge factor in our 2023 premiership season.

The son of club legend, Dean Collins, Jayden has had a great career including stints with Eastern Ranges and Northern Blues. Big Bird is now locked in with the Hawks and has been a huge part of two premierships in 2018 and 2023. One of the best.

Congratulations to ALI GOTTLIEBSEN who has been officially listed by DAREBIN FALCONS for the 2024 VFLW season.

Ali has gone from strength to strength in only three seasons of footy with Boronia Hawks. Her attacking run and strong marking are features of her game and we are all incredibly proud of her determination to improve her footy. Well done Ali G and best wishes for this exciting challenge.
