Boronia Hawks win Premier Division Netball

It’s a Premiership! Our top ranked netball team, Boronia Hawks, has won the Grand Final in EFL Premier Division scoring 48 goals to Fairpark Yellow 32.  The Hawks were in great form from the outset.  They established an early lead and then stayed on top, pressuring the opposition, to record a very convincing win over last year’s premiers.

One Club – Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club

Boronia Football Club and Boronia Junior Football Club are very pleased to announce to all players, members, sponsors and supporters that the three resolutions put to a vote at last night’s Special General Meeting were passed. The two clubs will now proceed with plans to formalise our merger to one Club, the Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club.

The One Club Solution will ensure a sustainable football pathway from AusKick to Juniors to U19’s to Seniors, and even to Veterans. The goal is to provide a similar pathway for girls footy from AusKick to Juniors then Seniors, and also to build on our current commitment to the Club’s Netball program.

Last night’s meeting was well attended and provided an open forum for discussion and understanding of the Club’s future strategic direction. Many thanks to all those who attended or lodged proxies. Thank you also to Kristan Wood and Ellisa Schmidtke for successfully leading this initiative for our Club’s future.

Boronia FC Netball Round 1

The EFL Netball season starts on Friday 21 April with two of our three teams in action.  Boronia Hawks have the bye first up in Premier Division and will not take the court until Round 2.

The club welcomes all the girls in our new look Boronia Gold in Division 1.  We all hope you really enjoy your first season with us and get off to a great start against Ringwood Red in Round 1.  The game is at 6:45pm at Fairhills High School.

Boronia Brown in Division 4 made finals for the first time in 2016 and will be looking to build on that this season.  They have a couple of personnel changes only, so the core group stays together for their third season. The Brownies play UFTG Black at 8:10pm at Oxley College.
