2024 RE-SIGNINGS | M MELLIS, KNOOPS & WHITE

The BHFNC are very pleased to announce the re-signing of Mitch Mellis, Nick Knoops and Ryan White.

MITCH MELLIS brings with him speed, endurance, class, and ferocity to every contest and we are delighted to announce his re-signing for 2024. Clearly one of the best footballers in the EFNL, Mitch’s signature (even though it was taken on a napkin at Wayno’s red wine night) is big for our club as we strive to enter Division One in 2025. A leader at such a young age, he drives standards and demands respect!

NICK KNOOPS has been a revelation since joining our club. He can play forward or in the ruck and his contributions are significant each match day. A quiet, unassuming character, Nick plays a vital role in our set up and we are delighted with his signing for 2024.

RYAN WHITE is a dual Bob Henry Medallist and is all class. He can play on the wing, in the midfield, or even forward when asked. A running machine, Ryan is a respected leader at our club and a true Hawka!

2024 RE-SIGNINGS | FAIRCHILD & COLLINS

BHFNC is excited to announce that Damon Fairchild and Jayden Collins have both re-signed for the 2024 season.

Damon Fairchild is a 2018 senior premiership player and has rarely been out of our best players in season 2023. As a classic utility player who is dependable and consistent; he adds class to any Hawka lineup!

Jayden Collins, also a 2018 senior premiership player, is a former Bob Henry Medalist and top-class Centre Half Back of the competition who is rarely if ever beaten by a big forward.

2024 RE-SIGNINGS | HANNON x 2

BHFNC is excited to announce that both Luke & Josh Hannon, have re-signed for the 2024 season.

Luke Hannon played in the 2018 senior premiership is a dual Bob Henry Medalist, a senior assistant coach, and a classic utility player.

Josh Hannon played in the 2018 premiership and is having a break out year in 2023 as the dominant ruck of the competition who has rarely beaten all season!

Men’s Practice Matches v Old Carey

Boronia hosted Old Carey Grammarians from the VAFA for two men’s practice matches at Tormore Reserve on Saturday 25 March.

Not a great day for goal kicking, but two good games to take us into Round 1 of the EFNL season against The Basin at Tormore Reserve. Many thanks to Old Carey for two well matched games.

  • Seniors: Boronia 9.17 71 d Old Carey 6.11 47.
  • Development Team: Boronia 14.9 d Old Carey 3.5

Boronia Hawks – EFNL InFocus 2023

MEN’S PRACTICE MATCHES v SEAFORD

Many thanks to Seaford Football Netball Club for hosting us once again for the third year. Always a very good match up and played in good spirit. Thanks to Wayne Preston and Samantha Dunkinson for today’s updates.

Full time was called early after an injury to a Seaford player. Final scores Boronia 6.10 46 to Seaford 2.1 13. The boys looked good in hot windy conditions. Luke Hannon recorded his first win as coach, stepping in for Matt Clark.

In what was an even performance, the top four were Mitch Mellis, Ryan White, Jarrod Lake and Jess Bolton. All the new recruits played really well also.

Although a bit short on numbers on the day, Boronia’s Development Team won 7.2 44 v Seaford 2.4 16.
