PAVILION REDEVELOPMENT | TORMORE RESERVE

Knox City Council will meet on Monday 9 December to consider the appointment of a contractor to construct the Tormore Reserve Pavilion, home to the Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club and Boronia Cricket Club.

Boronia Hawks FNC is extremely grateful to Knox City Council for their support of this project. We also wish to thank Mary Doyle MP and Jackson Taylor MP for their ongoing assistance in bringing this new facility to a reality.

“The works include partial demolition of existing pavilion and construction of a second storey addition, complete refurbishment of retained ground floor, and construction of a new crossover and entry road from Tormore Road, as per the endorsed Masterplan 2016”.

“The existing Tormore Reserve Pavilion was built in 1976, and is now considered not fit for purpose, as it only provides makeshift gym and first-aid areas, no dedicated female change rooms and amenities, nor DDA facilities apart from an outdated accessible toilet”.

“The new facility will comprise of four (4) change rooms and amenities, umpire change rooms, first aid rooms, a social / multipurpose room, meeting rooms, offices, storage space, a kitchen and cafeteria, and a bar”.

3rd Annual Christmas Food & Toy Drive

Wow! Our 3rd Annual Christmas Food & Toy drive in support of Knox Infolink was held last night in beautiful conditions at Tormore Reserve. With all Senior Mens & Women’s teams, Masters, Vets and some Juniors training together it was an awesome way to roll into the upcoming Christmas break.

Thank you very much to everyone who was able to contribute something to support Knox Infolink Inc in their ‘Share the Joy’ Knox Christmas Appeal.

Our donations just get bigger and bigger each year, something you should all be very proud of as these donations do make a big difference. Thanks to Ellen for cooking a BBQ and the fruit afterwards.

CUPS ON TOUR | JOHN ALAN BETTA HOME LIVING

Brendan Lee, owner of John Alan Betta Home Living, proudly shows off our two senior premiership cups from this year.

John Alan is our Club’s longest-continuing sponsor. If you want a good deal, go down to their new shop at 1829 Ferntree Gully Road in Ferntree Gully, tell the staff you are from the BHFNC, and they will do you a great deal!

WELCOME TO HARRY CHAPMAN

Boronia Hawks FNC is very excited to announce that HARRY CHAPMAN will be joining our Under 19’s team for 2025. Harry has a great Boronia pedigree as the son of Nathan Chapman and the nephew of Kane Van Hennik.

Harry has already shown some great form playing with Eastern Ranges Under 16’s and was invited to the Vic Metro trials. He is training again with Ranges and already has a club B&F to his name, along with a top 5 finish in the league B&F. We are very proud of our many father-son players and are now very pleased to welcome Harry and family “Back to Boronia”. We look forward to seeing Harry in the club colours for many years to come.
