We couldn’t be more excited to announce Mackenzie Suppa has re-signed with Boronia for the 2026 season.
Undoubtedly one of the most talented players in the squad, Mack levelled up this season, becoming one of our most impactful defenders. Mack debuted in the Senior team in Round 8, and continued to build to the end of the season. Elite in 1 on 1 situations, tough and hard at the contest, Mack reads the ball well to intercept and set up play from defence. We’re excited for Mack to continue to develop in brown and gold next year.
Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club is proud to announce that our captain, Harry Burgess, has re-committed for 2026.
From his first games in the juniors to becoming the heartbeat of our senior side, Harry has embodied everything it means to wear a Boronia jumper. His leadership, resilience, and passion continue to set the standard for our club both on and off the field.
Harry’s achievements speak for themselves:
3x Premiership Player (2018, 2023 & 2024)
Captain since 2021
2x Premiership Captain (2023 & 2024)
2x Bob Henry Medalist – Senior Best & Fairest (2015 & 2022)
2024 Division 1 Team of the Year
A true club legend, Harry will continue to set the standard of the group.
We couldn’t be more excited to announce Klara Vickov has re-signed with Boronia for the 2026 season.
Klara had an incredible season this year, when in her first year of football, she played 12 senior games playing mostly on the wing. Klara is incredibly skilled and used her kicking as a weapon to find targets through the corridor or set up our forwards. Highlighting her impact, Klara also finished the season with 7 goals, and spent time in the midfield late in the season. Klara is an ultimate professional, highly analytical, exemplary squad member and just scratching the surface.
We are thrilled to announce Lily-Grace Murrell has re-signed with Boronia for the 2026 season.
Coming off a serious ankle injury which impacted her pre-season, Lily was able to continue to develop and went from strength to strength as the season went on. Starting the season at half-forward before spending time in the middle and finishing the year at half back, Lily’s combination of strength, power and explosiveness impacts the game all over the park. Lily is a fierce competitor and a genuine and caring team-mate and we couldn’t be more excited to watch her take her game to another level in brown and gold next season.
We couldn’t be more excited to announce Emily Wellington has re-signed with Boronia for the 2026 season.
Em has continued to build her game since joining Boronia in 2024, developing her craft in defence, up forward and across the middle. A versatile player in a number of ways, Em is at her best reading the play, winning a hard ball, and using her long penetrating kick to set up attack. Em has become a huge part of our squad in a short time and we look forward to seeing her take her game to another level in brown and gold next season.
Congratulations to HARRISON CHAPMAN from @boroniahawksfnc who has been selected as one of the 14 Victorian boys named in the 2025 Marsh AFL National Futures squad. The team will play at the MCG as a curtain-raiser before the Toyota AFL Grand Final on Saturday 27 September. Great work Harry!
We’re excited to announce that Harry Chapman has recommitted to the Hawks for 2026!
Harry debuted in our seniors in 2025 and immediately showed he belongs at the top level. He’s impressed with Eastern Ranges, earned selection in the Under-17 Vic Metro team, and continues to turn heads with his skill, composure, and elite running ability. A genuine talent with a limitless future we can’t wait to see where Harry can take his game. Great to have you locked in, Chappy!
We couldn’t be more excited to announce Jenna Basse has re-signed with Boronia for the 2026 season.
Jenna has made a huge impact in her two seasons with the club both on and off the field. On field she is one of our most dynamic and skilled forwards, known for big marks and iconic left foot snaps. Since joining us, Jenna has gone at a little over a goal and game, with her 15 goals in 2025 placing her in the top ten goalkickers in Premier Division. We’re excited for plenty more from Jenna in brown and gold next season.
Luke Flanagan has recommitted to the Hawks for 2026!
A 2× senior premiership player and 50 game Hawk, Luke is a silky smooth mover who has taken his game to another level in 2025 by stepping up onto a wing. His ball use, running ability, and composure make him a valuable part of the brown and gold. Great to have you locked in, Luke!
