New Director of Communications Appointed

Boronia Hawks are very pleased to announce that JACQUI PHILLIPS has joined the Club’s Board of Directors in the new role of Director of Communications.

Jacqui plays both football and netball with Boronia Hawks and has extensive experience that will bring a new vision and approach to our communications channels.

Please join us all in congratulating Jax in accepting this important leadership role with the Hawks.

International Day of People with Disability

Today we recognise and celebrate International Day of People with Disability – Australia by sharing some photos of young Parker at our Boronia Auskick Centre.

Our centre is accredited as an Access All Abilities or AAA centre because of the special care and environment provided by Sam Dunkinson and her team. The implementation of our Sensory Space at Boronia Auskick has been a significant reason for this recognition. Sam uses the space to assist the kids who might get a little overwhelmed by everything and just need a quiet spot for a while.

We love having Parker at Auskick and are very proud that he is able to join in the footy fun.

EFNL Men’s Division 2 Fixture

The 2022 EFNL Men’s Fixture for 2022 has just been released and we are very pleased to return to a traditional 18 game home and away season with 10 teams.

We welcome newcomers Oakleigh Districts to Tormore Reserve in Round 2 after travelling to Mulgrave for the season opener on 2nd April. We can look forward to two local derbies against The Basin. We renew acquaintances with the relegated Knox and the promoted East Burwood, while Ringwood remain in Division after declining promotion to Division 1 as Minor Premiers.

Specialist Coaches appointed for Women’s Football

Boronia Hawks is very proud of our strong coaching teams across all our football programs at junior and senior level. We can now announce a significant boost to the coaching staff for our women’s football teams with the appointment of seven very experienced specialist coaches.

Corey Burgess, Jackson Lech and Luke Hannon are returning from last year while we welcome Jess Bolton, Dane Romano, Danny Weston and Ryan White to the team for the first time. Congratulations and thank you for your contribution to our women’s program.

April Dye plays for Victoria!

Congratulations to April Dye from Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club on her selection in the Victorian 12 Years and Under Girls Team that played today in the School Sport Victoria Australian Football Showcase.

April started her footy with the Hawks in 2019 and has now played 23 games and kicked 7 goals.

Her dad, Jason is an assistant coach with our Under 14 Girls team featuring both April and her sister Kaylee.

April was also supported today by Amanda Cellante and Scott Nicholas, the captain and coach respectively of our senior women’s football team. Amanda is also the Junior Female Football Co-ordinator and Scott is the Club Chairperson.

Well done April, the whole club couldn’t be prouder of your achievement!

AFL Victoria Coach of the Year Awards

Scott is one of four finalists in the Senior Coach of the Year Award. In October he was named as the EFNL Senior Coach of the Year.

The winners are announced on Thursday night, but please join us all in congratulating Snicko on this tremendous recognition for his work as our Senior Women’s Coach.
