PREMIERSHIP CUPS ON TOUR | Dyson Currie Timber Wholesalers

Dyson Currie are one of our long-time GOLD sponsors of the club which is run by a former president – Tim Currie. Tim lives and breathes the Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club and is constantly giving back to the club whether it be by sponsorship, volunteering his time as a team manager ….or giving our coaches advice!

Tormore Reserve is unofficially his second home so there was no other better place to catch up with Tim and relive our premiership success.

Summer Netball

EFNL is launching the Summer Netball Season on Friday 1 November. Boronia is well represented with two teams taking the court: Boronia Hawks in Division 2 and Boronia Gold in Division 5.

PREMIERSHIP CUPS ON TOUR | Jackson Taylor MP

Our local member for Bayswater, Jackson Taylor MP has been a long-time supporter of the club and from the moment he was first elected he has been in our corner working to secure $1.2 million towards our new clubrooms.

What many people won’t know is that he worked tirelessly behind the scenes in helping us navigate a path forward and generating momentum to ultimately make the new clubroom a reality. Quite simply, without his help the new clubroom may not have happened.

His love of the Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club shone through on Grand Final day as he cheered nervously from the outer wing all kitted out in his Hawka merch.

As the premiership cup tour continues, a stop off at his Bayswater office beckoned and it was great to show him the silverware up close and to grab a photo.

Many politicians have come and gone after promising the world to us, but Jackson has been a man of his word and for that we can’t thank him enough!

A retiring club legend of our club got his hands on the Premiership Cups today! Greg ‘Hollywood’ Krenn not only has been a long-term player for the Hawka but also a sponsor. Hollywood has done it all – over 350 games for Boronia and collecting 7 premierships on the way.

His business GK Travel & Cruise has also been with us all the way and is a long-time sponsor of the club. Located in Mountain Gate, Hollywood and his team give you the personal service you won’t get online with the added protection of assisting you if things change or go wrong while you’re travelling.

Julie Allen will be well known to many who have come through the junior club in recent years. Julie runs a website studio Biz Yourself and has provided fantastic assistance in supporting the technical aspects of the club’s website in recent years.

Julie has once again provided her expertise and customer service focus to get our website back on line after a glitch this week.

We are very happy to recommend Julie to any of the Hawka community who may need help with WordPress website design, development and support. Thanks Julie for your contribution to the club!

Our four Premierships cups made a visit to our ‘second home’ and long-term PLATINUM sponsor in the Knox Club.

Our partnership with the Knox Club goes back many years and we are truly grateful for the support they give the club and more so what we can give back to them with our patronage. It was great to catch up with Brian and Janine to show them our new silverware and share our success with the Club.

Whether it be after work drinks on their new deck, dinner with family and friends or a punt on the pokies or TAB, the Knox Club has everything you need to be entertained.
