Jethro Von Hesse will play his first game for the Hawks this Saturday after suffering a shocking injury in the 2023 preseason.

This Mother’s Day weekend is Breast Cancer Network Awareness Round for the Eastern Football Netball League.

Today we saw our youngest footballers sharing the stage with our senior men’s team to commemorate the ANZAC Round. BY SAMANTHA DUNKINSON
” A match day experience that started with the traditional AFL ANZAC ceremony with the seniors. Followed by the first quarter huddle and coach address. Then an anxious and exciting wait to play in a half time grid match. Our fresh faced junior footballers led by our senior players were so still and respectful. Then they cheered their player on until it was time to play. And play they did. What an amazing day for all who were part of this amazing experience”.

Haydn may be out injured at present, but when he is back he will bring another dimension to the Hawka midfield. After missing the 2023 Premiership, Haydn’s strength around the ball will be a huge boost to the team as we build throughout the season.

Whitey went straight from Under 17’s to seniors, winning his first of two Bob Henry Medals in 2016 in his first season. Fun Fact: he completely bypassed Under 19’s and has never played Reserves. An outstanding footballer for the Hawks.
