2023 PREMIERS | U16 GIRLS

Another huge congratulations to our U16 girls for taking out the 2023 Premiership against SBL/Mitcham. What an incredible effort to hold their composure after a draw at full time, going on to win the match during extra time. You have worked so hard this season to earn this reward!

A shout out to all the parents, friends and volunteers who have contributed to the girl’s success this year, including their coach Danny Weston, Assistant Coach Chloe Timms, Team Manager Alex Toomey, Runner Amanda Cellante and the rest of the Women’s Squad who have enjoyed training with the girls at times throughout the season and turned up in great numbers to support the girls.

2023 PREMIERS | U14 BOYS

A massive congratulations to our U14 Boys for taking out the 2023 Premiership against Lysterfield. The Boys came away with an impressive win, topping off a successful season where they finished on top of the ladder after the home and away season.

A shout out to all the parents, friends and volunteers who have contributed to the boy’s success this year, including their Coach Deacon Kimmitt, Assistant Coach Peter Kimmitt, Assistant Coach Adam Ferguson, Team Manager Victoria Butler and Runner Mackenzie Foster.

RUNNERS UP | U12 GIRLS

Our U12 Girls had a great season and unfortunately finished as Runners Up after being beaten in the Grand Final by North Ringwood.

Well done to all of the girls for their efforts this year! A big thank you to their Coaches Dave and Sharna Armstrong, Team Manager Natasha Parker and all of the families, friends and volunteers who supported the girls throughout the season. Women’s Coaching Month | Dakota Walker

As part of Women’s Coaching Month AFL Victoria are recognising coaches right across community football, including our very own Under 9’s Mixed coach Dakota Walker.

“This is her second year with the children and they adore her. The boys and girls all gravitate to her and she is setting a wonderful example for others”. Dakota is a huge asset to BHFNC and we thank her for her ongoing contributions to the club.


Learner Driving Course for Under 17’s

The Under 17.5 boys attended a METEC learner driving course last night which is an initiative through the EFNL.

METEC is METEC Driver Training located at 112 Colchester Rd, Bayswater North.

Thanks to Team Manager, Ellisa Schmidtke, who sent us some pics and a report on the night:

“Great opportunity for these young men tonight. They were super impressive with the way they represented the club, and no doubt they all learnt a lot and have a new found appreciation of what it takes to get behind the wheel.”

The boys were super enthusiastic and loved showing off their skills! They were thrilled with the bonus Hot Dog for Dinner!

WEEKEND PREVIEW | April 1-2

Get ready for a huge weekend for the Hawka!

This weekend sees Round 1 kick off for our Senior Men and Development Men vs The Basin at home on Saturday, followed by Vets Men vs Croydon North MLOC on Sunday, also at Tormore.

With the start of the season still a few weeks away our Senior Women and Development Women play their first practice matches against Eastern Devils at Miller Park, followed by the inaugural practice match for our Women’s Masters team vs Mooroolbark!

The Junior Season also kicks off this weekend, so make sure you get around the club and support wherever you can.
