BOLTS STEPS DOWN | JESS BOLTON

Club great, Jess Bolton has made the difficult decision to step down as our Development Coach for the 2026 football season.

Jess, who coached his team into a preliminary final only last week, will leave a significant hole to be filled by the club. As a playing coach, which is always a challenging role, Jess supported, guided, and improved our development players during his two-year tenure.

BHFNC sincerely thanks Jess for his efforts over the past two seasons, and we know it’s not goodbye, as another chapter in the BHFNC relationship with Jess will evolve as we never let great people like Jess just disappear.

The good news is that Jess will continue to play in the brown and gold and will continue to bring strong game sense and enormous experience to emerging players as a 200+ game player and dual Bob Henry Medallist.

RE-SIGNED FOR 2026

The Boronia Hawks Football & Netball Club is proud to announce that Matthew Clark has recommitted as our Senior Men’s Coach for the 2026 season!

Since first walking through the doors of Tormore Reserve in 2018, Matt’s leadership has reshaped Boronia into a force, on and off the field. Now entering his 9th season at the helm, with 132 senior games already coached in the brown and gold, Matt’s record speaks for itself:

• Three Premierships: the unforgettable 2018 Triple Crown, followed by back-to-back Division 2 flags in 2023 and 2024, restoring Boronia to Division 1.

• EFNL Men’s Team of the Year Coach: honoured in 2019, 2023, and 2024.

But Matt’s impact goes well beyond wins and trophies. He has built a culture of belief, discipline, and unity that every Hawk player, coach, volunteer, and supporter can be proud of. He has inspired the next generation, reignited our senior program, and cemented Boronia’s reputation as a club on the rise.

2026 will be another exciting chapter in this already legendary story. With Matt leading the way, the Hawks will continue to soar.

RE-SIGNED FOR 2026 | GREG HALL

Following a successful first year in the role, Boronia Hawks is excited to announce that Greg Hall has re-committed for the 2026 season! Greg took on the Women’s Development side role this season and had an immediate impact on the group that included a mix of new and returning players.

“I’m really proud of how the team has come together with so many new players to the club this year. It took a bit of time for us to get our ducks in a row, but the team really grew over the course of the season and we can’t wait for a huge 2026!”

Greg is passionate, dedicated and leaves no stone unturned to prepare the team each week. Along with assistant coaches and leaders, he has developed a great culture amongst our Development side which has led to great player engagement and performance, and a high number of players transitioning into Senior football. We’re thrilled to have Greg back again in season 2026.

“There is something really special about Boronia. I’ve been around a lot of clubs and I’ve never really experienced one quite like it. I feel at home, we’ve got an incredible group and I’m really excited about the next few years and what we can achieve.”

Sean led our Premier Women’s team to their best finish in the top grade with six wins, finishing in 5th place… and we’re just getting started. While our on-field performance has gone to another level, Sean has also built upon the culture our women’s program has established over the years and we’re excited for the 2026 and 2027 seasons under his leadership.
