There are lots of volunteer roles around the Club for a variety of different people! From committee positions and specific roles around the club throughout the season, to smaller jobs on game day.

It doesn’t matter if you have lots of time, or only a little. It doesn’t matter if you’ve volunteered before or not.  We’re here to support everyone and make it easy, flexible and fun for you to get involved.

We’re proud to have a strong network of fantastic volunteers, but we’re always looking for more.

So if you’re keen to help out, or have some more questions about the different roles on offer, please contact Kristan Wood on 0411 605 203.

Paul Cisek Family Fund

Boronia Hawks were very saddened to learn of the passing of former player Paul Cisek. Chissa had a terrific junior career with the Hawks, playing over 100 games. He won four junior Best and Fairest Awards between 1994 and 2000 – an outstanding record for a very talented footballer. Our thoughts and sympathy are with his family and many friends at this sad time.

Your support for the young family of Paul Cisek and Kat Buzinskas would be greatly appreciated.  Former Hawks captain Pat Garrity was a close mate of Paul and has opened a “Go Fund Me” appeal to help Kat, Mason and Riley.  Donations can be made by through the following link to the Family Fund. Thank you.

Craig McKenzie at the ERCA Awards

Congratulations to Craig McKenzie from @boroniahawks who was again a nominee for Youth Coach of the Year at the Eastern Region Coaches Association Awards. Fletch is a previous winner of this award.

The Hawks are very fortunate to have such a talented coach developing our young players.  Fletch was recently announced as the coach of both the Boronia U17’s and U19’s, a great move by the Club to develop the strong junior talent coming through the junior ranks.

NB: Craig is more commonly known as “Fletch” because his playing style was so reminiscent of Essendon great Dustin Fletcher, a fellow full back.
