A very big thank you to our magnificent supporters from the Hawks Nest Coterie Group who made a generous donation to headspace Knox as a result of yesterday’s lunch at the club. Boronia Hawks FNC is very privileged to be involved with headspace Knox in the annual Headspace Cup against neighbouring club The Basin. Yesterday’s game resulted in a win for the Hawks, but more importantly it brought into focus the essential role played by headspace throughout Australia. We extend our thanks to headspace Knox for facilitating our participation in spreading their message.
headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services to 12–25 year-olds. Based at Westfield Knox Ozone, headspace offers young people a welcoming environment where they can access confidential and free mental health support, health advice, and general information.
Our very own Dylan Dower is also a supporter of headspace Knox through his business Grow Club. headspace receives 100% of all the profits earned by the sale of Dyl’s “go easy” hoodies. These hoodies were presented yesterday to players in the three games against The Basin.
A big thank you goes to Chris from headspace, The Basin Football Netball Club committee and players; and to Dylan Dower.
SENIOR DEBUTS
Congratulations to two of our Under 18 girls making their debut in our Senior Women’s Premier Division Team on Saturday against The Basin.
We hope both Shayla and Charity had a great time and really enjoyed the experience.

Please join us all in congratulating BREE WATSON on achieving the milestone of 50 games with Boronia Hawks.
Bree played netball for the Hawks before signing up for footy in 2018. Bree went on to captain the club in 2022 and was of course our inaugural premiership captain in 2023. She has been a fixture in the backline but did sneak forward for one memorable goal in 2022! Bree is very proudly supported by Phil Watson and Complete Sports Services.
INTERLEAGUE SELECTION
Huge congratulations to April Dye & Campbell Butler on making the 2024 EFNL Interleague squads.
These two stars will be playing across the Kings Birthday weekend, with April in the Under 15’s and Campbell in the Under 14’s.

A very enjoyable breakfast at the Club on Saturday morning to mark the Mothers Day Weekend and the Breast Cancer Network Australia Pink Sports Day.
Many thanks to all who came along and enjoyed the wonderful food prepared by the legendary Ellen Johnson! Thanks also to Donna Krenn, our event organiser, for putting it all together.
