Dear Players, Members and Supporters,On behalf of my Senior Committee, I’d like to wish you all a safe and enjoyable Christmas with family and friends.
This year has been most memorable indeed. Two Senior Premierships are feats most clubs can only dream about! At ‘The Hawka’, we do dream, we dream big, but we then do!
Thank you to the magnificent players who donned the Hawka jumper in 2023. You all made us proud! Thank you to the coaches, trainers, and tireless volunteers who work behind the scenes to enable our club to function effectively, and thank you to our supporters who turn up week in and week out cheering loudly and giving our players the 5% extra support over the opposition which can at times win us matches.
I had the pleasure recently of spending a weekend away with some lifelong Boronia mates talking about just how fortunate we have all been to have been associated and connected with our club. We were all grateful for the friendships and experiences we have all shared together, some good, some not so good but we still enjoy a catch-up after 40 years!! This is what our club can offer, does offer, and will continue to offer!!
We will continue in the off-season to enhance our playing lists, plan the intricate design details of the new pavilion, and detail our social calendars for season 2024!
Once again, enjoy your well-deserved break and we’ll see you all next season! Wishing you all a safe and Happy Xmas!!!
What a great way to finish off the year, with Senior Women, Men, Veterans and two Junior teams all training together prior to the Christmas break.
Thank you very much to everyone who was able to contribute something to support Knox Infolink in their ‘Share the Joy’ Knox Christmas Appeal. Our donations just get bigger and bigger each year, something you should all be very proud of.
We made a great contribution last year and after such an awesome Premiership Season on field this year, I know The Hawka Family are ready to dig deep to help those less fortunate in our local area, especially in these tough times.

McHAPPY DAY! Please support our community partner and loyal sponsor Boronia McDonald’s
McHappy Day 2023will take place on Saturday, 18th November, where McDonald’s will raise much needed funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities to provide support for families of seriously ill and injured children.
Kat McMahon stepped down as Chair of the Club’s Board of Directors at the recent AGM. We all wish to express our thanks to Kat for the important work she helped to deliver for the club.
Kat McMahon
Kat’s expertise was essential in the roll-out of our Square project including the IT hardware, the new online store and the associated upgrade of our comm’s network at Tormore with Your Local Telecom. Kat also played a key role in the review of our club branding and the resultant partnership with Your Clubroom to deliver our very successful new range of club apparel and merchandise.
Though she has retired from netball and footy with the Hawka, Kat played an important support role in the Women’s Senior Team as the Premiership Statistician! She rounded off the season by managing the very successful hosting of the Division 1 Men’s Finals Series at Tormore.
Please join us all in thanking Kat for her contribution to the club.
The 2023 Annual Report of the Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club Inc. was presented to members at the Annual General Meeting held on 30 October 2023. This public version of the report is redacted to exclude financial details.
The Hawks Nest Coterie Group has been the heartbeat of the club for 14 years now, providing much needed sponsorship money back to the club. The group has 80 plus dedicated supporters who turn up in numbers every home game but also travel to our away games. They are passionate and can be heard cheering from miles away!
As a club we are so fortunate to have the Coterie group not only for their sponsorship but the droves of volunteers they provide when hosting finals at Tormore.
The Coterie committee consists of Bomma, Leanne & Dillio Rech, Panda & Plugger who jumped at the opportunity to grab a photo with the cups @ Tormore.
Thanks again Coterie and we know this year has been a special one that has provided the group with the reward for the years of support!
Congratulations and thank you to the members of the Club who were elected to the Board of Directors at the AGM. We welcome club legend and Life Member David Murrihy to the Club’s board.
