Cayden Wood has now joined Mitch Mellis in winning a third League Best and Fairest for Boronia Juniors.

Cayden has now won the EFNL Best and Fairest in three consecutive seasons: Under 13’s in 2021, Under 14’s in 2022 and Under 15’s in 2023. This matches the career of Mitch Mellis who won the medals in Under 11’s in 2012, Under 12’s in 2013 and Under 13’s in 2014.

Juniors who have won two League B&F’s are also some of the club’s most outstanding young players: Craig Folino in 13’s and 14’s in 1991 and 1992; Patrick Garrity in 12’s and 13’s in 1996 and 1997; and Alex Fiore in 12’s and 14’s in 2001 and 2003 (Alex was also runner-up by one vote in 2002 and won a 3rd medal at Knox in 2005).
