IN MEMORY | VALE JOHN HOBAN

John “Bo” Hoban, a family member of our Senior Captain Harry Burgess, passed away this week while working in Kalgoorlie. Bo was a former junior and colts footballer at Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club, including playing in the 2002 Under 18s premiership winning side.

His family have started a GO FUND ME: John “Bo” HOBAN to help with funeral costs and to bring him back home from WA. Any support would mean a lot to the family in this difficult time.

If you have any other issues or concerns, please feel free to reach out to one of our Board of Directors or Committee Members. The Club is here to support its members and their families so please reach out if there is anything we can do to assist.

IN MEMORY OF ALEX SONG

The woman’s football community at the club is devastated to learn of the passing of our friend and former teammate, Alex Song.

Alex is remembered fondly for her determination and attack on the footy and was the sort of person you wanted on your team. Sadly, she leaves her wife Phoebe and baby son Patrick.

The following post was published on Alex’s social media today.

“On Tuesday, Alex passed away. She was loved by so many and was an incredible wife and mother. A GoFundMe account has been set up for her son Patrick’s future.

Go Fund Me Page in Memory of Alex Song

Alex’s funeral will be held at Le Pine Box Hill on Friday October 18th at 10am. There will be light refreshments at Le Pine immediately afterwards. All are welcome. The service will be live-streamed, please let me know if you would like the link. There will be an opportunity to put letters in the casket and an opportunity to speak. Please feel free to pass this onto anyone who may wish to attend”.

Please join us in remembering Alex and passing on our thoughts and love to Phoebe, baby Patrick and her family and friends.
