Very proud to be part of Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club today with three teams booking their place in the Grand Final.  Well done to all the boys, the coaching and support staff.  Well done to the volunteers who put all the pieces in place behind the scenes.

So often local football clubs are measured by winning premierships but the feeling amongst the Hawka faithful today after those wins showed how succesful this club already is.  This week is for everyone who’s put in the hard work over the years so our boys (and girls) can go out and have a kick.

We’re one club and we are all in this together. Win, lose or draw next week I’m so proud of this club and everyone associated with it. GO HAWKA.

What a brilliant year for Hayden Landy!

What a brilliant year for Hayden Landy! Early in the season he was given the honour of being appointed as captain of the @boroniahawks Under 14’s. He went on to lead the team to a sensational Premiership victory, the Club’s first Under 14’s flag since 2003! Hayden then won the Club’s Under 14’s Best and Fairest, joining an outstanding list of former winners including Deacon Kimmitt, Mason Storr, Harvey Chinn and Harry Burgess. To top it all off, Hayden was last night night announced as runner-up in the Under 14D EFL Best and Fairest!

Congratulations on a great season Hayden. We can’t wait to see you in action for the Hawka in the coming years!

Congratulations to all our junior players on completing a terrific year with Boronia Hawks in season 2018!  We hope you all played some good footy, learned some new skills and had a lot of laughs with your team mates.

EFL Junior Presentation Night

Congratulations to all the representatives of Boronia Hawks who attended the EFL Junior Presentation Night on Friday 7 September.  Our big winner was Mason Storr, who was presented with the Best and Fairest Medal for Under 17B.  Hayden Landy also capped off a great season as the runner-up in the Under 14D Best & Fairest to go with with his Club B&F and premiership medal.

A Grand Final Appearance is up for grabs for three of our teams on Sunday at East Burwood Reserve! 

  • Seniors at 2:10pm: Boronia v Scoresby;
  • Reserves at 12:05pm: Boronia v Heathmont;
  • Under 19’s at 10:00am: Boronia v Heathmont.

All Boronia Supporters are invited to come and support the teams and show they have the backing of the whole club. Dress Code: Brown & Gold.  NO BYO ALCOHOL OR DOGS.

BORONIA AUSKICK registrations are now open for season 2019. You can register at the AFL’s Auskick webpage: www.aflauskick.com.au

We are hoping to build on the great Auskick season we had in 2018 and make it even bigger and better in 2019!
Please feel free to share this post with other families who would love to join our Auskick program on Friday night’s at Tormore Reserve.

Mason Storr wins the Ray Lacey Medal

Congratulations to Mason Storr, the winner of the 2018 Ray Lacey Medal for Boronia’s Under 17’s Best & Fairest.

Mason joins an elite list of winners of this Award including Harry Burgess (twice), Jarrod Lake, Ryan White (twice), Jacob Delrayne and Mitch Mellis. You can see the undoubted talent coming through the pathway from Boronia Juniors and we cannot wait to welcome Mason to the seniors.  Please join us all in congratulating a worthy winner.
