BEST WISHES BRAYDEN MURRIHY

The Club is very sorry to report that Brayden Murrihy underwent surgery yesterday for a knee reconstruction. He injured his knee just before Easter and unfortunately will now be out for the season.

It is terrible to put in a big preseason and then not even make it to Round 1. We know Brayden will do all the right things for a full recovery so we hope to see him back as good as new in early 2027. Thank you to Brayden’s player sponsor Upwell Health Collective.

PREMIER WOMEN | TEN NEW PLAYERS FOR ROUND 1!

It was an incredible start to the season to bring in 10 new players and have them absolutely click from the outset to record a huge win over a strong opponent. Sean and the coaching team did a great job getting to this point but full credit goes to the players.

Congratulations to Jemima Fulton, Georgia Kavanagh, Maddy Stark, Zoe Wright, Charity Poe, Indi Makai, Ella Dempster, Sophie Stark, Zoe Lynch and Abbey Broughan.

We hope you love your footy with Boronia!

MASTERS DEBUTANTS

Let’s celebrate all our first gamers in the Masters on Saturday! It’s a big thing to take up footy but it makes a huge difference to have so many supportive team mates!

Congratulations to Mel Rowland, Julie Evans, Vanessa Tronson, Christy Allan, Bridgitte Ashlin, Kayla Betts, Rebecca Peck, Kerri Allan, Danni Lowerson and Tammy Xiberras!

MILESTONE | 100 GAMES FOR RACHAEL PARNES

What a huge milestone for Rachael Parnes who played her 100th game of football on Saturday. Rach started with Knox in 2018, playing 26 games there before coming over to the Hawka in 2021.

74 games later Parnesy is a huge part of our women’s program having played Firsts, Dev and Masters over the journey. Surely 150 won’t be too far away!

THREE DEBUTS IN MEN’S DEV TEAM

Congratulations and well played to these three blokes who all made an impact in their debuts in the Development Squads big win on Saturday at Tormore.

Tom ‘Cyborg’ Borg, chipped in with 2 goals, Riley Williams was solid all day and Jack ‘JK’ Kahsnitz also jagged a goal.

We look forward to many more games in the brown and gold into the future boys.
