We’re excited to announce that Ryan White has recommitted to the Hawks for season 2026! A 150-game player, 3-time premiership winner, dual Bob Henry Medallist, dual Ray Lacey Medallist, and key leader of our senior squad Whitey’s impact on and off the field is second to none.
Great to have you locked in for another big year Chomp!
Congratulations to our very own Jenna Basse on her reappointment as Head Coach of the Waverley Baseball Club Women’s Program. We are really proud of having such a talented person at our own club.
“The Waverley Baseball Club is pleased to announce the reappointment of Jenna Basse as Head Coach of our Women’s Program for a second consecutive season. Following a highly successful year, marked by a near doubling of player numbers, two of our three women’s teams reaching finals, and a state team grand final victory that saw back to back premierships, Jenna’s leadership has been instrumental in the continued growth and success of the program both on and off the field”.
A huge effort by Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club – Junior ZAC PAPWORTH from the Under 14’s who kicked goal number 100 in season 2025 on Sunday! 15 goals in the last Home and Away match of the season against East Ringwood saw him finish on 101 ahead of the finals series this weekend!
This week we celebrate a huge milestone for one of our finest, Jake Mellis, who runs out for his 100th senior game in the brown and gold! After a decorated Junior career, as a Captain and Under 19 David Murrihy Medallist, Jake has excelled in his Senior career to date.
A 2023 Premiership Player and always a true team-first Hawka. Whether it’s shutting down an opponent or standing tall in big moments, Jake always leads by example and puts the team first. Jake is a much loved & respected teammate off the field.
The Mellis name continues to build a proud legacy at the Hawka – and hitting the ton is another proud chapter in an already incredible career. Congratulations Jakey.
Kieran has been a vital part of the Hawks since joining in 2023, kicking an impressive 47 goals along the way. He played a key role in our senior premiership victory in 2023 and has smoothly transitioned from a forward to a hard-running wingman.
Known for his relentless work ethic, Kieran contributes both offensively and defensively, often tracking back to help in defence and pushing forward to create scoring opportunities. Beyond the field, Kizza’s lively personality and good humour make him a standout teammate, greatly contributing to the strong culture at the Hawks.
Here’s to many more games and successes ahead for Kizza!

A fabulous turn out by the Hawks for the Grand Opening of “The Deck” at the Knox Club. Thank you Brian Asley our BHFNC Number 1 ticket holder and Chairman of the Knox Club Board (and terrific human) in conjunction with Leigh Mountford GM for hosting us in this amazing new space. It’s very inviting!!
A cracking day at Batterham Park in the battle for the Headspace Cup between The Basin and Boronia Hawks Senior Womens teams.
The game was played in great spirit, with both teams coming together at the end of the game to chat about the importance of looking out for each other. Thanks to Dyl Dower and GrowClub for the hoodies. Tilly Birkett and Jaimee Monk both looked great in the hoodies after being named best on ground for their respective teams.
