We’re excited to welcome Emerson Watt down to Boronia in season 2025! Already bringing a lot of energy to the training track, developing with each session and will only get better from here. After previously playing junior football, we’re excited to have Emerson as part of our Senior Squad in 2025, another really exciting new prospect in brown and gold!


STEPH PHILLIPS IS BACK!

This is HUGE! Welcome back Steph Phillips for season 2025!

One of the premier midfielders in the EFNL, Steph has starred for Boronia since joining in 2021. Runners up in the Ellen Johnson Medal on three occasions, Steph has also been selected in the EFNL Team of the Year in our 2023 premiership year. After just two games in 2024, we could be more thrilled to have a great leader, teammate and squad member back in 2025!


WELCOME TO BORONIA | DARCI WATT

A very big welcome to Darci Watt, joining the Hawks for her first season of senior football! After playing some junior football at The Basin, Darci is back and has been training the house down so far. Already improving with each week of training, we’re excited to have Darci join our squad and be part of the brown and gold this season!


WELCOME TO BORONIA | SHAE DENNY

We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Shae Denny to Boronia! Shae is a former premiership player at Rowville in Division 1, winning the Players Award in the same season, and had previously played most of her football at Blackburn, where she won a Senior B&F.

After a couple of seasons off, she’s back for season 2025. Shae has already impressed on the training track and will bring a lot to our squad on and off the field. Welcome Shae!

WELCOME TO MADY McMILLAN

Our first junior graduate has come through the ranks, and we’re thrilled to welcome Mady McMillan to our Senior squad in 2025.

After missing most of 2024 with a shoulder injury, Mady supported her team mates as runner for the U18 Girls before coming back for the end of the season. Mady has already hit the training track hard and is developing each session and showcasing her skills, speed and competitiveness. We can’t wait to see what Mady achieves in her first season of Senior football.

WELCOME TO BORONIA | CADHLA SCHMIDLI

We are excited to announce the first of our new recruits for 2025, Cadhla Schmidli. Boasting an exceptional football resume which includes Vic Metro representative at U18 level, Eastern Ranges and Box Hill in the VFLW. Joining us from Aquinas in the VAFA, Cad is a tall, athletic player who can play a number of roles around the ground and brings a wealth of experience at just 21 years of age. We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Cad to Boronia in 2025.


ASSISTANT COACHES ANNOUNCED FOR WOMEN’S SQUAD

Boronia Hawks FNC is very proud to announce the appointment of four great Boronia people as Assistant Coaches for the 2025 Women’s Football Season.

We’re thrilled to announce that Scott Nicholas will continue with our squad as Senior Assistant Coach in 2025. Scott has been integral in developing the squad since 2018, and coached our Senior Women to the Division 1 Premiership in 2023. Scott will work closely with our new Head Coach Sean Buncle, with a focus on leadership and culture and the broader women’s program.

Assistant Coach (Senior – Forwards) We’re thrilled to have Nicole Guy back on board in 2025 as an Assistant Coach. Working with our Senior forwardline for the past two seasons, Nicole adds a wealth of knowledge, understanding of the game and builds incredible, supportive and fun relationships with the playing group.

Assistant Coach (Senior – Backs). We couldn’t be more excited to announce Bree Watson as one of our Assistant Coaches for 2025. Bree is a natural leader who has begun her Coach Development as Captain of the Senior squad, and has naturally played the role of guiding and supporting our backs over the last few years. Bree will continue her learning taking on more responsibility with the backs this season.

Development Women Assistant Coach – We couldn’t be more excited to announce Tim Cavanagh as Assistant Coach for our Development side in 2025. Tim is highly experienced in women’s football, much loved amongst our playing group and builds incredible relationships with our playing group. Formerly Senior Assistant Coach and Senior runner, Tim moves into a new role this season and is excited to be working with some of our new and developing players.
