We couldn’t be more excited to announce that Shae Denny has re-signed with Boronia for the 2026 season.
Shae joined us this year and had an immediate impact on and off the field. Rarely loses 1 on 1, and one of the most impactful defenders in Premier Division, Shae is at her best intercepting play across half back. A positive, encouraging and determined squad member we can’t wait for a big 2026 season from Shae in brown and gold!
We couldn’t be more thrilled to announce Georgia Baldwin has re-signed with Boronia for the 2026 season.
Georgia was part of Box Hill’s VFLW program this season making her debut in Round 3. Georgia is a competitive beast, fierce at the contest and an all round great team mate. As a developing key defender, Georgia’s mix of physicality, run and ball use off half back provided a lot in her 7 games with us this year before her season ended in injury. Georgia levels up each game she plays, and we can’t wait for more in 2026!
We couldn’t be more pleased to announce Bec Carpenter has re-signed with Boronia for the 2026 season.
Bec has been one of our most consistent players over the past three years finishing runner up in the Development Best and Fairest in 2023 and 2025, and taking out the award in 2024. Bec plays a key role in defence and excells in one on one situations and using her athleticism to intercept and rebound from defence.
Bec has worked incredibly hard over the past two years to improve her skills and challenge herself and has been a leader for the squad the past two seasons. We can’t be more excited for Bec to add to her 59 club games in 2026!
We couldn’t be more excited to announce Cadhla Schmidli has re-signed with Boronia for the 2026 season.
Cad joined the squad this season, and has had an immediate impact from day one. Cad set the tone on the training track, always offers guidance and support for teammates, and did everything in their power to impact game day. Playing mostly forward, Cad finished with 16 goals for the season amongst the top 5 goal kickers in Premier Division. At times, Cad would switch into defence, providing us with stability when needed and highlighting their flexibility.
Cad was part of our leadership group and finished runner up in the Ellen Johnson Medal for the Senior Women’s Best & Fairest. We’re excited to see Cad back in brown and gold in 2026.
We’re thrilled to announce Cleo Smith has re-signed with Boronia for the 2026 season.
Cleo joined the Senior Leadership group for the first time, in her second year with the Hawks, after establishing herself as an emerging leader in 2024. Cleo is dominant in stoppage situations by giving our midfield first use, or by winning the clearance herself. Her agility around the ground, strong contested mark and elite footskills means she’s able to impact the game in a variety of ways.
Cleo was named as the ruck in the 2024 Premier Division Team of the Year at just 19 years of age while splitting her time between Eastern Ranges and the Hawks. In 2025 we were fortunate to have Cleo all season and while she’s added a considerable amount to the culture of our squad, she also had an incredibly consistent year onfield, finishing third in the Senior Best and Fairest.
We’re excited to announce that Jasmine Coney has re-signed with Boronia for the 2026 season.
Jasmine was incredible in 2025, playing not only her first year with Boronia, but her first year of Senior football. Jas is an elite midfielder who is smart, composed and explosive coming out of the contest. Consistently breaking free from opposition tags, Jas was able to impact around the ground, use her penetrating kick to generate attack and hit the scoreboard herself, finishing the year with 10 majors from 13 games.
At just 18 years old, Jas is mature and professional in her approach to the game, determined to continue her development and an exceptionally supportive and caring teammate, who has felt at home in her first year with the Hawks.
Testament to her incredible season, Jas has won the Ellen Johnson Medal, for the Senior Women’s Best and Fairest in 2025, and we’re excited to see her take her game to another level in brown and gold in 2026.
We’re thrilled to announce Ali Gottliebsen has re-signed with Boronia for the 2026 season.
Ali is damaging across half back, and is at her best breaking lines and generating attack. After being named in the 2022 Premier Division Team of the Year, and 2023 Division 1 Team of the Year, Ali spent 2024 with Darebin Falcons in the VFLW. While we were devastated to lose Ali to a season ending injury in our last practice match this year, that didn’t stop our Senior Vice-Captain and 2023 Premiership player from having a huge impact with her caring and team first approach.
Part of the fabric of our club, we can’t wait for a huge 2026 from Ali!
We’re excited to announce our Senior Captain Rachael Quirk has re-signed for the 2026 season.
Quirky is hard working, humble and an absolute force on ball. Part of our 2023 premiership team and named in the 2023 Division 1 Team of the Year, Quirky is a fierce defensive presence and explosive in the contest. Off field, she’s led our squad incredibly well in her first season as Captain and exemplifies the Hawka Spirit.
Quirky also celebrated her 250th game for Knox Raiders this season, and recently was a member of the winning team in the NBL1 South Grand Final. To perform at this level across two sports is phenomenal and speaks to the hard work that Quirky puts in behind the scenes.
We can’t wait for another year of Quirky in brown and gold in 2026.
Following a successful first year in the role, Boronia Hawks is excited to announce that Greg Hall has re-committed for the 2026 season! Greg took on the Women’s Development side role this season and had an immediate impact on the group that included a mix of new and returning players.
“I’m really proud of how the team has come together with so many new players to the club this year. It took a bit of time for us to get our ducks in a row, but the team really grew over the course of the season and we can’t wait for a huge 2026!”
Greg is passionate, dedicated and leaves no stone unturned to prepare the team each week. Along with assistant coaches and leaders, he has developed a great culture amongst our Development side which has led to great player engagement and performance, and a high number of players transitioning into Senior football. We’re thrilled to have Greg back again in season 2026.
Boronia Hawks is excited to announce that Sean Buncle has re-committed to Boronia for the next two seasons! Sean joined us in 2025 to lead our Senior Women’s program, after a successful run at Port Melbourne where he led the Borough to the 2023 VFLW Premiership.
“There is something really special about Boronia. I’ve been around a lot of clubs and I’ve never really experienced one quite like it. I feel at home, we’ve got an incredible group and I’m really excited about the next few years and what we can achieve.”
Sean led our Premier Women’s team to their best finish in the top grade with six wins, finishing in 5th place… and we’re just getting started. While our on-field performance has gone to another level, Sean has also built upon the culture our women’s program has established over the years and we’re excited for the 2026 and 2027 seasons under his leadership.
