RE-SIGNED FOR 2026 | TAYLAH PERRY

We’re excited to announce that Taylah Perry has re-signed with Boronia for the 2026 season.

Coming from an athletics and sprints background, Taylah swapped the grass of the Stawell Gift to the grass at Tormore and added a huge amount on and off field for our squad this season. Taylah is ferocious in the contest and it’s no surprise her scintillating pace makes her exciting to watch, and we’re looking forward to watching her continue to grow as a footballer next season.

THANK YOU | NICOLE GUY

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Nicole Guy, as Nic has made the decision to finish in her role as Senior Assistant Coach within our Women’s program.

Joining Boronia in 2023, Nicole has brought strong coaching and communication, an incredible amount of support for our playing group, guidance, expertise, and a huge amount of energy!

Nic will leave a big hole in the squad but finishes (for now) with a significant contribution, close relationships and will always be part of our history as part of the coaching team behind our first Senior Women’s Premiership in 2023. We look forward to having Nicole cheering from the sidelines next season! ??

Sean Buncle (Senior Head Coach) and Greg Hall (Development Head Coach) have already committed for season 2026, and we will have some more announcements with our Assistant Coaches coming soon!

BACK TO BORONIA | MATT BARKAS

Boronia Hawks are excited to welcome back Matt Barkas for the 2026 season!

Matt came through our junior program before taking on the challenge at East Ringwood, where he built a reputation as a tough defender/midfielder. His courage and consistency were recognised with the Most Courageous Award in 2023 and 2024. Everyone get around Matt and give him a big Hawks welcome home.

NEW RECRUIT | JAKE ARUNDELL

Boronia Hawks are excited to announce that JAKE ARUNDELL will join the club for the 2026 season.

A standout junior, Jake claimed the 2019 U17 Premier Division Best & Fairest before making his mark with Eastern Ranges in the NAB League. He then took his game to South Adelaide in the SANFL, and over the past 3 years has been with the Box Hill Hawks in the VFL — earning a place in the 2025 leadership group. Jake brings talent, leadership, and big-game experience to Boronia, and we can’t wait to see him running out in the brown and gold. Welcome to the Hawks, Jake!

We’re excited to announce that Ella Otte has re-signed with Boronia for the 2026 season.

Ella is a strong contested player, with a penetrating left foot and equally comfortable on ball or up forward. Ella was rewarded with her great season by taking home the Development side Best and Fairest award. We look forward to Ella taking her game to another level in 2026 in brown and gold.

RE-SIGNED FOR 2026 | ANGIE TORCASIO

We’re thrilled to announce that Angie Torcasio has re-signed with Boronia for the 2026 season.

Angie had a huge season this year, after debuting with Box Hill, Angie went on to play 10 games at VFLW level. A classy midfielder with elite skills, Angie is equally as damaging on offence and defense. Angie was phenomenal in her games with Boronia this year, and we can’t wait to see her continue her develop her game in brown and gold next season.

RE-SIGNED FOR 2026 | EMERSON WATT

We’re excited to announce that Emerson Watt has re-signed with Boronia for the 2026 season.

Emerson returned to football this season, and made an impact from the very first session. Emerson reads the play incredibly well, is always willing to put her head over the ball, is a strong contested mark in defence and can play a number of roles across the ground. Still only 18, Emerson has a lot more football ahead of her in brown and gold and we can’t wait for next year.

BOLTS STEPS DOWN | JESS BOLTON

Club great, Jess Bolton has made the difficult decision to step down as our Development Coach for the 2026 football season.

Jess, who coached his team into a preliminary final only last week, will leave a significant hole to be filled by the club. As a playing coach, which is always a challenging role, Jess supported, guided, and improved our development players during his two-year tenure.

BHFNC sincerely thanks Jess for his efforts over the past two seasons, and we know it’s not goodbye, as another chapter in the BHFNC relationship with Jess will evolve as we never let great people like Jess just disappear.

The good news is that Jess will continue to play in the brown and gold and will continue to bring strong game sense and enormous experience to emerging players as a 200+ game player and dual Bob Henry Medallist.

RE-SIGNED FOR 2026 | LUCY McLENNAN

We’re excited to announce that Lucy McLennan has re-signed with Boronia for the 2026 season.

Lucy joined the Hawks in 2024 and has become a huge part of the squad in a short amount of time. Still very early in her football career, Lucy has played 27 games in her first two seasons. Lucy is a physical, highly motivated footballer, who is a great team mate and we can’t wait for her to continue her development next season.
