MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT | JOSH BEGLEY RE-SIGNS

We’re thrilled to confirm that Josh Begley has re-signed with the Boronia Hawks through to the end of 2027.

Since joining the club in 2023, Begs has been a game changer a two-time premiership player, leading goalkicker, EFNL Team of the Year member, and a key figure in our rise to Division 1. But it’s not just what he does on the field. Josh has played a big role off it this season, stepping up as a mentor and helping coach our Under 19s. His leadership, professionalism, and support for our young players has been outstanding. Josh’s care for the club and this group has been clear from day one and his commitment to two more years is a reflection of the belief he has in where we’re heading. We couldn’t be more excited to have him locked in as we take on the next chapter together.

TWO MORE MILESTONE GAMES

A big shoutout to LUKE FLANAGAN who celebrates his 50th senior game for the Boronia Hawks in Round 14! Since returning back to the Hawka from Upper Gully where he took out the U19s Best & Fairest and Players MVP, Luke has been a key member of our senior lineup. He was an integral part of our 2023 and 2024 Premiership sides with his silkiness and composure across half back. Luke’s notched an impressive 88% win ratio from his 49 senior games at the Hawka, which is an outstanding achievement. He is an excellent team mate and comes from a great family. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Luke in the brown and gold!

Since joining the club in 2021 RACHAEL PARNES has been one of our most loyal and hard working players. Rach is one of our most consistent on the track, most determined on field and always looking to put her hand up to volunteer! Along side celebrating 50 Senior Games for Boronia (including three Senior games in 2021), Rachael has also played 19 in the Masters and 26 with Knox, taking her career games tally to 95! Congratulations Rach and looking forward to many more in brown and gold.

THREE SENIOR DEBUTS | JAMIESON, REYNDERS AND CHAPMAN

Round 13 marks a special moment for the Boronia Hawks as three exciting young talents make their senior debuts.

Darcy Jamieson
Darcy has speed to burn and has been in consistent form for Eastern Ranges, highlighted by a standout 3-goal performance in Round 13. A classy mover with real composure, he’s earned this opportunity and we can’t wait to see him light it up at senior level.

Myles Reynders
A versatile and athletic tall, Myles has impressed all season. He kicked 5 goals in his first U19s game while filling in from the 17s and has spent the past three weeks with Eastern Ranges, where he’s played as a backup ruck and forward. He brings energy, effort, every time he steps on the park.

Harry Chapman
A proud product of a former Hawk, Harry is the son of former player Nathan Chapman and nephew of Kane Van Hennik – but he’s forged his own reputation through hard work and talent. He’s played every game this season for Eastern Ranges as a bottom-age player, showing consistency.

We’re incredibly proud to see all three boys pull on the brown & gold for the first time.
