We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that Jake Mellis has re-signed with the Boronia Hawks for the 2026 season!

Jake’s journey through the brown and gold has been nothing short of outstanding. A true club man who has delivered time and time again.

2× Premiership Player – 2018 Under-19s Premiership (Vice-Captain) – 2023 Senior Premiership Individual Honours – David Murrihy Medal – U19 Best & Fairest (2018) – U15 Best & Fairest (2015). Jake’s consistency, football smarts, and selfless team-first approach make him an invaluable part of our senior group. Whether shutting down an opponent or stepping up in big moments, Jake leads by example.

The Mellis name continues to build a proud legacy at the Hawka, and Jake’s commitment to the club is a huge win as we charge ahead into Division 1. We can’t wait to see what’s next, Jake bring on 2026!

We’re absolutely pumped to announce that Mitch Mellis has re-signed with the Boronia Hawks for the 2026 season!

In just his first 50 senior games at the Hawka, Mitch has already built a resume that most could only dream of:

  •  2× Paul Edie Medallist 
  •  2× EFNL Team of the Year 
  •  2024 Bob Henry Medal 

Mitch’s impact has been enormous. He’s driven standards, led from the front, and become a cornerstone of our senior group as we push for more success in Division 1.

The Mellis family has a proud history at the Hawka, and Mitch is carving out a legacy that’s going to be hard to match. Locking him in for 2026 is a massive win for the club and we can’t wait to see what he brings in the years ahead.

Our partnership with the Knox Club goes back many years and we are truly grateful for the support they have given the Hawks and, more so, what our club community can give back to them with our patronage. The sponsorship from Knox Club directly funds all our junior and senior football and netball programs and helps to make sport affordable for our families.

A valued and loyal supporter, they have welcomed us for our AGM’s, strategy meetings, “meet the coach” nights, game day awards, and team dinners. They have hosted many fantastic social events from balls to annual presentation nights.

Knox Club offers a variety of dining facilities and bar spaces which are perfect for a catch up with family, friends or team mates. Live music is featured at the Knox Club, ranging from popular tribute acts to acoustic Sunday Sessions on the Outside Decking.
