Club Notes – Round 15

The under 19’s started the day off with a convincing win and are looking like a real finals contender. I urge all to get down early and check out the talent and the future senior players of the club. The ressies knocked off the previously undefeated Wanny Sth and now sit equal top of the ladder with only now a small percentage separating these 2 sides. Our lads are in great shape to win back to back flags. The ones were outplayed on the day to eventually go down by 6 goals. The pressure is on to stay clear in 3rd spot as the ladder is very congested below us.
This year we are hosting junior as well as senior finals so we will be looking for volunteers over the next 2 Sundays. If you are available to help even for a few hours please let me know.
We head off to take on our old foes in Nth Ringwood this week in what will be 3 very tight games once again. Lets get a big crowd there and then all get to the coterie function and celebrate.

See you all Saturday and Go Hawka.

BFC Club Notes

Starting with a sad note Jimmy Tyack passed away Saturday night. Old Jimmy was always a smiling face around the club who never missed a home game and will be sorely missed by those that new him. Our thoughts go out to his family.

Also noted by all during the week that Peter Bennett is no longer senior coach. The Boronia F.C. would like to thank Peter for his dedication and time he put into the club over the last 31/2 years and wish him all the best for whatever the future brings. Drew O’hare will be stepping up as senior coach having coached the reserves for the past 8 seasons. We wish Drew all the best for the remainder of the season.

Onto playing matters and it was great to see the club have 3 big wins on the weekend. In very tricky conditions all 3 sides performed very well and this now sees all 3 sides cemented in finals contention. This week we take on Wanny Sth at home in what will be 3 thrilling games and believe it or not some sunshine to go with it. So no excuses all you Hawkas out there, get down and help get the boys over the line.

Kind Regards
