THREE SENIOR DEBUTS | JAMIESON, REYNDERS AND CHAPMAN

Round 13 marks a special moment for the Boronia Hawks as three exciting young talents make their senior debuts.

Darcy Jamieson
Darcy has speed to burn and has been in consistent form for Eastern Ranges, highlighted by a standout 3-goal performance in Round 13. A classy mover with real composure, he’s earned this opportunity and we can’t wait to see him light it up at senior level.

Myles Reynders
A versatile and athletic tall, Myles has impressed all season. He kicked 5 goals in his first U19s game while filling in from the 17s and has spent the past three weeks with Eastern Ranges, where he’s played as a backup ruck and forward. He brings energy, effort, every time he steps on the park.

Harry Chapman
A proud product of a former Hawk, Harry is the son of former player Nathan Chapman and nephew of Kane Van Hennik – but he’s forged his own reputation through hard work and talent. He’s played every game this season for Eastern Ranges as a bottom-age player, showing consistency.

We’re incredibly proud to see all three boys pull on the brown & gold for the first time.

MILESTONE FOR MAX BRASHER

A huge congratulations to young star Max Brasher who will be playing his 50th game this weekend for the BHFNC.

The crafty and clean midfielder has been an absolute stand out in his 2 premiership years he has been at the club, boasting an impressive 88% win ratio from his first 50 games is truly outstanding.  It is going to be a fun journey watching Max continue to grow as a player and to see what he and the team can achieve in the future. Here’s to many more in the Boronia Hawks Guernsey!

Four of our young Hawks took the field this morning for Eastern Ranges against Oakleigh Chargers and came away with a hard fought win in a close contest.

All four boys showed plenty across the ground and did the club proud. With the Ranges having the next two weeks off, we’re lucky enough to welcome them back in Hawks colours keep an eye out for them running around in brown and gold!

SENIOR DEBUT FOR MAX COLLINS

Round 12 marks a special moment for Max Collins and the entire Boronia Hawks community as he makes his senior debut for the club.

Max is the current Under 19s Captain, a leader who has progressed through our junior ranks. In 2023, he was recognised across the league when he claimed the EFNL Under 17.5 league Best and Fairest, a reflection of just how influential he’s been on the field.  The Collins name is one of the biggest at Boronia. Max continues a proud family legacy and tomorrow he’ll run out alongside his brother Jayden Collins, a three-time senior premiership player. Congratulations Max. We’re all behind you.

MAX NICOLL | DEBUT WITH EASTERN RANGES

A huge congratulations to Max Nicoll, who will play his first game for the Eastern Ranges in Round 14 along with three other Boronia Hawks U19 team mates.

We look forward to watching Max continue to develop and represent both the Eastern Ranges and the Boronia Hawks with pride.  Well done Max the whole club is right behind you.

150 GAMES FOR BRENTON “HAMMER” McALPINE

In Round 12 we celebrate a special milestone for one of our most loyal and respected Hawks. Brenton McAlpine will run out for his 150th game for the Boronia Hawks Football Netball Club.

Brenton started his journey with the club back in 2006 as a junior, and he’s worn the brown and gold with pride ever since. Over the years, he’s grown into a consistent senior player, a team leader, and a great role model for others across the club.

His career highlights include:
• Under 15’s Best and Fairest in 2009
• Under 16’s Best and Fairest in 2010
• Under 19’s Best and Fairest in 2013
• Senior debut in 2014
• Senior Coach’s Award in 2015
• Member of the 2018 Senior Premiership team
• 100th senior game in 2019.

And now reaching 150 total club games but Brenton’s contribution goes far beyond his playing record.  Off the field, he’s a dedicated volunteer and much-loved Auskick coach, giving up his time to help develop the next generation of young Hawks.  He sets a fantastic example through both his actions and his attitude.

Congratulations Brenton on reaching 150 games.  You’re a fantastic footballer, a selfless teammate, and someone the entire club is proud of. We’re incredibly lucky to have you at Boronia.  Let’s all get around him this weekend.

TWO MORE HAWKS REACH CLUB MILESTONES IN JUNE

CRYSTAL CHINN is the ultimate teammate and a much loved and respected member of the squad. Chinny has played mostly as a forward since joining Boronia, but has spent time in defense and on ball when needed. Chinny was part of our 2023 Division 1 Premiership side, and has also grown as a leader this season when playing in the Development side. Congratulations on bringing up 50 club games in the brown and gold!

MEL CARPENTER has been one of our most consistent performers over the past two years taking out the Dev best and fairest in 2023, before finishing third in 2024. Mel is fast, determined and has a long penetrating kick, and with every year of development she becomes a more important member of the squad! Congratulations on your 50th club game in Brown and Gold Mel!

FOUR HAWKS REACH CLUB MILESTONES

Please join us all in congratulating four of our senior players who reach personal milestones with the Hawks on 14 June.

A huge congrats to Brayden Wright, who notches up his 100th game for Boronia this weekend! Wrighty was a key part of our Development Squad premierships in 2018 and 2019, holding down the ruck with athleticism and consistency. After a couple of seasons at Ferntree Gully, it’s great to have him back in the brown and gold. Well done, Wrighty!

One of the premier midfielders in the EFNL, Steph Phillips has starred for Boronia since joining in 2021. Runners up in the Ellen Johnson Medal on three occasions, Steph has also been selected in the EFNL Team of the Year in our 2023 premiership year. Congratulations Steph on reaching 50 games in brown and gold!

A huge congratulations to James Gardiner-Hoffman on playing his 50th game for the Boronia Hawks FNC! After a couple of seasons away, we couldn’t be happier to have him back in the brown and gold where he belongs. Welcome home, Jimmy — and here’s to many more games in the Hawka guernsey!

Congratulations to Mitch Mellis, who notches up his 50th senior game for Boronia Football Club this weekend! In just 50 games, Mitch has built an impressive resume – 2 premierships, a Bob Henry Medal, and Division 2 2x League Best & Fairest. A dynamic midfielder with skill and toughness, Mitch consistently leads by example. The son of Boronia great Cam Mellis, Mitch continues the family legacy with pride and passion every time he pulls on the jumper. Well done Mitch – here’s to many more in the brown and gold!
