Round 13
Seniors: In a tight low scoring contest the game ended in a draw. Hammer was fantastic in his BOG performance with Matt Jackson and L Mckernan also in the best. Cam Jackson kicked 3 goals.
The Ressie’s: The boys led all game and ran out winners by 50 points. Nath Allen kicked 4 first half goals and was BOG with Snico supporting him with 3 goals. Other best players were Dayne “I steal kids footy’s” Ruff and Larso.
Colts: The colts had a 30 point win. Zmood kicked 3 and Barclay 2. Best players were Darsa, Granland & Seagrave. Granland and Neves then went and played 4 quarters in the Reserves. Well done boys!
Vets: The vets were outgunned by 68 points in perfect footy weather (Wet & Nasty). Point kickers were Whits and Flip.Best players were Whits, Gucci & Deane Rule.

Netballers
Boronia Gold:Girls got off to a much better start than the last couple of weeks leading Croydon at the first break after scoring the last 4 goals of the qtr. unfortunately for us it was a bit of a slog after that. Although there was much improvement on previous weeks, we still threw too many passes away and missed some shots we would normally make. But in saying that, the girls fought well and stopped it from being a blowout in the last qtr rallying back from 15 goals down to go down by 9.

Boronia Brown: The girls played ladder leader Mooroolbark and were with them most of the way until the last qtr losing by 9. Next week they play East Ringwood White for a top 4 spot.
Social Events
– Ladies Lunch this weekend 18/07/2015 – still a few spots available. Player Sponsor tickets welcome. See Sandra or Ellen.
– 200 draw July 25^th. See Ash Johnson for tickets
– Presidents Lunch celebrating 1000 EFL games is on August 1^st. See Cam Mellis or Tim Currie for tickets

Round 10

Seniors: Well we came up against The Basin in the annual Headspace Cup and whilst we started out competitive, Basin took the game away with a comfortable margin
Goal Kickers were Luke Allison who kicked 2, with the Jackson brothers contributing 1 each and a nice shot by Buzz. Best Players were Leeso, Beggsy & Hammer. Keane from the Basin was awarded the Headspace medal for BOG. We will get the cup back next year boys!

Reserves: Took the game away from the Basin by a comfortable 3 goals and some extra points. Goal Kickers were across the board with contributions from Fletch, Lachie Mac, Ruffy, Red, Gilba , Kieran and Jakes from the 19’s with 2. Best Players: C Mack who was a tackling demon , D. Ruff , J. Veness , S. Bell , K. Phillips , J. Scanlan

19’s: The fixture had the boys playing Whitehorse for the second week running although this time it was at their ground. A good team effort after the boys had a slow styart. Goal Kickers: J. Reddaway 3, B. Rapisarda 3, J. Stamatakos 3, J. Darsa , A. Seagrave , D. Game , J. Granland , J. Godwin , D. Morse , J. Rambaldo

Netball

Boronia Brown : At the half way point of the season sitting in 5th position, every game from here is a must win. Coming up against Norwood we were slow out of the blocks but found our feet in the second quarter. We continued to increase the lead, being 8, at the final change and finally running away winners by 11 goals. Great effort by the girls with players struggling with sickness but still coming away with the win. Best players being Naomi Trent, Lauren Beven and Steph McQuinn

Boronia Gold : a very disappointing loss to Knox, we lost our heads in the game and got rattled early. Big game next week to secure 4th spot, before the bye week! Best players this week, Jess Thomson, Sarah Alexander & Kellie Newton.
