LIFE MEMBERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

On Saturday night, the Boronia Hawks Football & Netball Club had the immense honour of inducting two absolute champions of our club as Life Members — Nathan Allen and Greg “Flash” Hannon.

Nathan Allen – A true Hawka through and through. From his beginnings as a Junior Hawka, Nathan has gone on to play over 250 Senior Games, making him one of the club’s most loyal and respected servants. Off the field, he’s served on the Committee and dedicated his time to nurturing our future stars through Auskick coaching in recent years. A role model, a leader, and a legend — we couldn’t be prouder of the person and clubman Nathan is.

Greg “Flash” Hannon – A powerhouse of passion and leadership. Flash pulled on the brown and gold in 186 Senior Games, later taking the reins as Senior Men’s Coach for 3 seasons. But his biggest impact has been as President for the past 7 years, guiding the club through the most successful era in our 90+ year history. Flash’s commitment, vision, and love for the Hawks have left an indelible mark on the club.

Please join us in congratulating Nathan and Flash on this richly deserved honour. Their dedication to the Boronia Hawks has been nothing short of inspirational.

JUNIOR AWARDS NIGHT AT KNOX CLUB

We had 120 guests at the Knox Club last night to celebrate our U17.5 Boys and U18 Girls.

The evening was a resounding success, and we thank Scott Nicholas for his outstanding work as MC; the senior women’s and men’s representatives for attending as special guests and welcoming these junior players into the senior club. Also, our sincere appreciation goes to Nathan Allen, who awarded his first namesake medal. Award winners will be announced shortly. Congratulations to all involved

PLAYER SPONSOR | BRITTON TIMBERS

Thank you to PETER BENNETT and BRITTON TIMBERS for Player Sponsorship of NATHAN ALLEN for the 2024 season.

There is no player more loyal to the club than Nathan Allen, who started in Boronia Auskick in 1997, before moving on to Boronia Juniors in 2000. 24 years and 300 odd games later, he has a hard earned reputation for playing good strong footy and for overcoming adversity with injury and illness. He has two Reserves flags to his credit; he has captained Seniors, Reserves and Juniors; he has won league B&F’s in 18’s and Reserves; he has served on committee and is a regular and reliable volunteer. Most importantly, he has the respect of everyone at the club.
