2016 Practice Match Schedule

Boronia will be playing our first practice match for 2016 against Wantirna South on 12 March at Healesville. This is the Long Weekend and all players are required to play in this important game, which is a great opportunity for everyone looking to impress.
As already mentioned, we then have Ferntree Gully at FTG on 19 March and then traditional rival Bayswater at Tormore Reserve on 2 April in the tune-up for Round 1 v Park Orchards.

Dylan Hogarty-Doyle joins the Hawks

Boronia Football Club is very pleased to welcome Dylan Hogarty-Doyle to the club for season 2016. Dylan is a very big unit who has played juniors and colts with Forest Hill and Vermont but is best known as a gun basketballer. He played with Iowa State in the NJCAA in 2014/15.2016 recruit Dylan Hogarty-Doyle at preseason training in February.

Boronia Football Club is very pleased to welcome Matthew Geraghty to the club for season 2016. Matt is an experienced mid-fielder who joins the club from Montrose and previously played at Vermont.

Boronia Hawks Vets kick off for 2016

Boronia Football Club is pleased to field a very successful Vets team that has won 3 EFL premierships in 2007, 2008 and most recently in 2011. The Vets is a great way for players to stay involved with the club, to keep fit and to still enjoy all the mateship that footy offers.

Past, present or prospective players who were over 32 years of age on 1 January are eligible for the 2016 season and are very welcome to pull on the boots. Vets training starts on Wednesday 3 February at Chandler Park. The go to man for Boronia Vets is Greg Krenn.Vets Preseason

All current, past and prospective players are cordially invited to preseason training in the lead-up to the 2016 season.

Training for seniors, reserves, U19’s and Vets will be held at the Hawks Nest at Tormore Reserve starting at 6:00pm sharp. We will be training every Monday and Wednesday nights until the end of the cricket season.

Any new or former players interested in having a run will be very welcome and all supporters are always encouraged to come along.
