Round 17
Seniors: In a fairly sloppy game Heathmont were too good for us winning by 25 points. The future does look bright though with U17 players Ryan White and Jake Godwin both in the best players along with Lakeshow, Harry and the Allison brothers. Harry also kicked 2 sausage rolls.
The Ressie’s: Although the game was fairly tight, the guys lead all day and won by 18 points. Again 2 U17 players were in the best in Fairchild & Migues. Shagga was BOG with Pato 3 and Fairchild 2 our leading goal kickers.
Colts: The colts had a bye
Vets: The vets won by 32 points against Kilsyth with Gordo kicking 4 goals. Best players were Macey, Aalts and Whits. With the old fellas missing finals its been a tough year for first year coach Matt Rule but I think he has learnt a valuable lesson in talking about premierships in preseason(never do it!).
Boronia Gold: Gold finished the season with a draw against Blackburn. The girls have missed the finals this year but are looking forward to next year.
Boronia Brown: Coming into the last round and with finals out of reach we still wanted to finish the season strong. The girls came out full of confidence leading by 4 at the first change and extending the lead to 11 at half time (24-13). Finishing with a bang was clear with the team piling on 14 goals to 1 in the 3rd term to run away eventual winners 47-20 at the final siren. Best on the night was spread across the court with everyone doing there job. A great finish to the season but a series of close losses sees us finishing 5th 2 games out of the top 4.
